Privacy notice

Effective October 20, 2026. This notice describes the Personal Inbox collector within Chenagent App Launcher.

Access and purpose

With the account owner’s authorization, the collector reads Gmail message IDs, conversation IDs, senders, recipients, timestamps, subjects, labels and body text. It uses this information for private search, reading, context retrieval, background review classification and requested reply drafts. The Gmail grant is read-only; sending, deleting, marking mail read and downloading attachments are not implemented.

Storage and access

Message data and OAuth credentials are stored in restricted files on the owner’s Mac mini, outside source control. Backups can contain message data. Gmail credentials are protected by filesystem permissions and are not currently encrypted separately at rest. The private application requires the owner’s authenticated access.

The owner’s configured assistant can retrieve selected message data through a private read-only interface. In addition, the background review worker sends relevant message text, conversation context and selected owner-provided notes to the OpenAI API to assess whether an item needs attention. Draft generation sends similar context when the owner requests a draft. These providers process submitted content under the owner’s account settings and their applicable policies. The application does not use message data to train a general-purpose model. Model results are advisory; the owner reviews them, and the application has no sending operation. Message content is not published by this information site. The application does not sell message data or use it for advertising.

The public information pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which processes network request metadata to provide hosting. No advertising or analytics scripts are included in these pages.

Retention and control

Saved data remains until the owner deletes it; there is no automatic retention deadline. Revoking access in Google Account stops future authorized reads but does not delete existing local copies or backups. Source deletions may hide messages in the inbox view without erasing all stored copies. The owner can remove the database, captures and backups from the mini to delete those copies.

Limited use

Personal Inbox’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
